Human Resources

The guidelines on restructuring of Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs) carried out by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) in 2004 changed the former Administration Department to Human Resource Department (HRM).The Human Resource Management Department is one of the common service Departments in OSGOF while the other one is the Finance and Accounts Department. Like its equivalents in other MDAs, the mandate of the HRM Department is the overall control and management of internal administration

and personnel in the Office of the Surveyor-General of the Federation.

The Department is headed by a Director who provides general leadership and direction for the day to day running of the Department. He is supported by an Assistant Director who coordinates the work of the Desk Officers whose duties/responsibilities are highlighted below as follows:

1. Appointment Promotion and Discipline (APD)
2. Staff Welfare – in Headquarters and Zonal/Field Officers
3. Staff Training/Development
4. Manpower Budgeting
5. Library
6. Security Matters
